Mary Abreu’s book “little girls, Big style”

I do not have preschool children any more myself. But I can’t help myself when I buy patterns and books. Sometimes I just need to have them because they are so cute and inspiring. That was the case with this book. I bought a kindle version and have enjoyed looking at the bright projects many times.

A couple of weeks ago a lady in church commented on the petticoats I made for my girls when they were small. I made lots of them, because I found that my girls were not modest about keeping their skirts down. My friend has a four year old daughter and she seems to have much the same inclinations my daughters had. I bent down talking to this little girl; she lifted her skirt and put it over my head. I had to laugh, but remembered her mother’s comments on the petticoats. I had to go home and make her one.

This book is very handy. Since I have a e-book version I could download the pattern from the internet. The instructions were very clear and understandable. It did not take me long to make these.

Sometime later I will make some of the other projects.
