lekala 5481, A Free pattern,

teknisk skissecoverI really want to make more skirts for myself. My “skirt drawer” in my closet is full. But they do not fit. Yes, I can get them on, but I bought or made most of them before I lost weight (about 20kg/44lbs). Some of my clothes I have altered, but others really are hopeless. It has been a long time now (since I lost weight), but I just havent had the heart to get rid of some of the stuff. I have decided to repent, and the salvation army will be very happy to get a BIG bag from me.

SO, now that there will be more space in my closet I can  make myself happy and have something that fits. I started working on it while at my cabin. This cotton denim look skirt at the cabin. forran2It was free, I downloaded it from http://leko-mail.net/mod-e.php?t=0&a=0&n=1 . I like the shape of the skirt, but I think I would choose an even “softer” more draping fabric next time.

It was super easy to make. I just had to sew the four “swirly” looking pieces together, putting them side by side, add the waistband and the zipper (I omitted the button). Even though there are things I would change about it I am happy and will bear it. side
